Where is the Spring Recital taking place?
The Spring Recital will be held at the common area space just outside Forte Music and Arts Academy.
Forte Music & Arts Academy

North Miami, FL 33181
What will each participant do in the Spring Recital?
Each student will perform 2-3 songs in front of an enthusiastic crowd of proud parents, families, friends, and guests. At the end of the concert, each student will receive a trophy award for their participation
Will recital participants receive an award?
Yes! Each participant will receive an award and a gift for their participation at the recital.
My child just started lessons, are they invited?
Absolutely, yes! Students are welcome to perform along with all of the other students who also just started this fall as well as kids who have been in lessons for years. It's a great mix of levels and ages, and "newbies" find it inspiring!
Will I be ready to perform? Is my child ready to perform in a recital?
Students of all ages and levels are capable of performing in the concert. Participants include complete beginners that have just started lessons to students that have been taking lessons for months or years.
Can we bring the family? Can we bring our friends?
Yes absolutely! Bring your friends and family. Invite friends and encourage your family members and friends to bring more family members and friends.
What will I or my child be performing?
The instructor has already started working with you or your child to make some decisions and work on several recital selections. Decisions on what to perform will be made in advance.
Do I need to bring my musical instrument to the performance?
It depends on your instrument. For piano and voice, you do not need to bring your instrument, however, you may bring your music book and/or sheet music. Guitar and violin students need to bring their own instrument and their music book/sheet music.
I have more than one child in lessons - will they be together?
Absolutely - we always pair siblings together that are close in age. On occasion, if one child is much younger and the other one is significantly older, they will perform on the same day but be featured at different times in order to group the students by age.
Since the recital is indoors, what happens if it rains?
The show will go on as scheduled. Rain or shine!
If you have any questions, please let me know and we will be glad to help.

Why is there a recital fee and participant fees?
This is one of the major recitals of the year. Producing and executing recitals incurs many costs and includes:
- The music recital time and space has to be reserved in advanced and rented
- The music rehearsal one week before the recital
- A performer's recital fee represents commitment by the performer
- Guest admission fee helps us determine the amount of chairs that are needed so that everyone has a seat. We would not want anybody to be left without a chair or stand throughout the entire recital
- Each performer gets a beautiful trophy
- A professional videographer will be recording the recital as well as taking pictures
- Participants will get a stunning video of their performance recorded by a professional for no additional cost
- The grand piano has to be moved, taken apart, and then has to be put back together. Then the same has to be done to put the piano back in it's normal room
- Teachers and staff have to be paid for their time before, during, and after the recital
- Programs have to be printed and distributed
