Frequently Asked Questions
What are the Covid-19 safety measures taken to ensure everyone is safe?
Everyone including kids, teens, and adults of all ages must wear a safety mask or face shield, or both. Hand sanitizers and wipes will be available around the studio for everyone’s use. It is also recommended to bring your own hand sanitizers and wipes. Activities will be carried out to avoid the least amount of contact as possible as well as keeping distance from one another. We are keeping our facility super clean and following guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy.
What does it mean that each recital is both in-person and virtual?
All 4 shows will feature both students in-person and students virtually. In-person students will be on site while virtual students will be displayed on a standard size TV screen via Zoom at the recital location.
So...the theme is Spring Extravaganza?
Yes! We will be rolling out the red carpet, a step and repeat, photo booth...lights, camera, action! Students will be playing music and will dress their fabulous best!
What is the Spring Recital?
Our Spring Recital is a relaxed celebration of piano, guitar, singing, and violin, and everything you or your child has learned this year. Our students are all levels: novices, beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. Adults, teens, kids, and preschoolers are all eligible to participate.
Where is the Spring Recital taking place?
The Spring Recital will be held in the courtyard right in front of Forte Music and Arts Academy. We will transform the courtyard into an outdoor theatre.
Where is the recital going to take place?
The recital will take place outdoors. The outdoor section will include the sidewalk and grass area in front of the studio. A part of the parking lot in front of the studio will be blocked off with cones.
What will each participant do in the Spring Recital?
Each student will perform 2-3 songs in front of an enthusiastic crowd of proud parents, families, friends, and guests. At the end of the concert, each student will receive a trophy award for their participation
Will recital participants receive an award?
Yes! Each participant will receive an award and a gift for their participation at the recital.
My child just started lessons, are they invited?
Absolutely, yes! Students are welcome to perform along with all of the other students who also just started this fall as well as kids who have been in lessons for years. It's a great mix of levels and ages, and "newbies" find it inspiring!
Will I be ready to perform? Is my child ready to perform in a recital?
Students of all ages and levels are capable of performing in the concert. Participants include complete beginners that have just started lessons to students that have been taking lessons for months or years.
Can we bring the family? Can we bring our friends?
Yes absolutely! Bring your friends and family. Invite friends and encourage your family members and friends to bring more family members and friends.
What will I or my child be performing?
The instructor has already started working with you or your child to make some decisions and work on several recital selections. Decisions on what to perform will be made in advance.
Do I need to bring my musical instrument to the performance?
It depends on your instrument. For piano and voice, you do not need to bring your instrument, however, you may bring your music book and/or sheet music. Guitar and violin students need to bring their own instrument and their music book/sheet music.
I have more than one child in lessons - will they be together?
Absolutely - we always pair siblings together that are close in age. On occasion, if one child is much younger and the other one is significantly older, they will perform on the same day but be featured at different times in order to group the students by age.
Since the recital is outdoors, what happens if it rains?
The stage area will be covered by the roof of the building. The audience seating area will be covered with tents.
If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be glad to help.

Carl
