Frequently Asked Questions

What does the recital fee include?

The Recital Fee includes:
  • Inclusion in one recital
  • Beautiful trophy/plaque award
  • Dress rehearsal one week before
  • Beautiful Venue
  • Professional video recording of their performance

Why is there a recital fee and participant fees?

This is one of the major recitals of the year. Producing and executing recitals incurs many costs and includes:
  • The music recital time and space has to be reserved in advanced and rented
  • The music rehearsal one week before the recital
  • A performer's recital fee represents commitment by the performer
  • Guest admission fee helps us determine the amount of chairs that are needed so that everyone has a seat. We would not want anybody to be left without a chair or stand throughout the entire recital
  • Each performer gets a beautiful trophy
  • A professional videographer will be recording the recital as well as taking pictures
  • Participants will get a stunning video of their performance recorded by a professional for no additional cost
  • The grand piano has to be moved, taken apart, and then has to be put back together. Then the same has to be done to put the piano back in it's normal room
  • Teachers and staff have to be paid for their time before, during, and after the recital
  • Programs have to be printed and distributed

What does it mean that each recital is in-person, virtual, and by video?
All shows will feature students in-person, virtual, or recorded video.  In-person students will be on site while virtual students and recorded video students will be displayed on a standard size TV screen via Zoom at the recital location.

So...the theme is Music Recital?
Yes! We will be rolling out the red carpet, a step and repeat, photo booth...lights, camera, action! Students will be playing music and will dress their fabulous best!

What is the Music Recital?
Our Recital is a relaxed celebration of our wonderful students performing songs they have been learning since taking lessons.  Our students are all levels: novices, beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. Adults, teens, kids, and preschoolers are all eligible to participate.

Where is the Recital taking place?
The Recital will be held at Forte Music & Arts Academy

Forte Music & Arts Academy
13499 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 105
North Miami, FL 33181

Where is the recital going to take place?
The recital will take place at Forte Recital Hall at Forte Music and Arts Academy

What will each participant do in the Recital?
Each student will perform 1-2 songs in front of an enthusiastic crowd of proud parents, families, friends, and guests. At the end of the concert, each student will receive an award for their participation

Will recital participants receive an award?
Yes! Each participant will receive an award or a gift for their participation at the recital.

My child just started lessons, are they invited?
Absolutely, yes! Students are welcome to perform along with all of the other students who also just started this fall as well as kids who have been in lessons for years. It's a great mix of levels and ages, and "newbies" find it inspiring!

Will I be ready to perform? Is my child ready to perform in a recital?
Students of all ages and levels are capable of performing in the concert. Participants include complete beginners that have just started lessons to students that have been taking lessons for months or years.

Can we bring the family? Can we bring our friends?
Yes absolutely! Bring your friends and family. Invite friends and encourage your family members and friends to bring more family members and friends.

What will I or my child be performing?
The instructor has already started working with you or your child to make some decisions and work on several recital selections. Decisions on what to perform will be made in advance.

Do I need to bring my musical instrument to the performance?
It depends on your instrument. For piano, voice, and drums...you do not need to bring your instrument, however, you may bring your music book and/or sheet music. Guitar and violin students need to bring their own instrument and their music book/sheet music.

I have more than one child in lessons - will they be together?
Absolutely - we always pair siblings together that are close in age. On occasion, if one child is much younger and the other one is significantly older, they will perform on the same day but be featured at different times in order to group the students by age.

Since the recital is indoors, what happens if it rains?
The show will go on as scheduled. Rain or shine!

If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be glad to help.

Musically,

Carl
